France has over 200 Portuguese football clubs in its amateur leagues. FAMILLE FC is an Atlas made of vignettes of these clubs, gradually revealing their origin, rise and fall, topography, joys and setbacks, friendships and rivalries, relationship with the country left behind and the host country, intergenerational relations, the role of women, work and migrant associations, and the inexplicable stubbornness of being Portuguese. Football is more important than life or death.
